Custom Fit
Outdoor comfort, without closing off the view.
Every Zip Screen is planned around the opening, fabric choice, frame finish, and how you want the space to perform through the day.
Guided zip-track system
The screen is held neatly within side channels for a taut, stable finish across the opening.
Light and glare control
Choose a screen solution that softens harsh sunlight while keeping the outdoor view connected.
Practical everyday use
Raise or lower the screen when needed to adapt the space for privacy, airflow, and comfort.

Lower for comfort, raise for an open view.
Lower
Bring the screen down to create a more comfortable edge against sun, glare, and insects.
Position
Set the screen where it works best for the light, privacy, and air movement in your space.
Retract
Lift the screen away when you want a clearer, more open connection with the outdoors.
Choose the right outdoor screen fabric and fit
Zip screens run in guided side channels to create a controlled screen surface at the edge of a balcony, patio or covered seating area. They help manage glare and privacy while keeping the space visually connected to the outdoors. Performance depends on the chosen fabric, opening size and exposure.
Discuss fabric openness, desired privacy, frame colour, operation, power supply and maintenance access. A screen that preserves an outward view may not provide the same privacy after dark when the room behind it is brightly lit. Confirm insect resistance and weather limitations for the selected configuration.
Combine side screens with a louvred pergola roof or retractable fabric roof for overhead cover. For a doorway where ventilation and insect control are the main goals, compare pleated mosquito mesh. Book a measured site assessment before finalising the opening.
Zip Screens questions
Are zip screens a replacement for a roof?
No. A zip screen is normally a side screening solution. Overhead cover requires a roof or another suitable structure.
Will a zip screen provide complete privacy?
Privacy varies with the fabric, its openness and the lighting on each side. Review a fabric sample and your day and night requirements before choosing.
Can zip screens be fitted to an existing balcony?
The frame needs suitable fixing surfaces, enough clearance and appropriate exposure conditions. A site inspection establishes which layout is possible.
